YAYA Sarong
Via the use of block printing, Ava together with Kon Gaaus found a way to inventively and creatively fabricate, with the complete freedom of placing a water-based ink imprint on a textile.
Throughout this creative process, they rediscover the balance, rhythm, and harmony of tribal motives on a fabric. The artists reinvented the Sarong and turned it into the most gender-free, one-size-fits-all, worldwide fashion accessory with rich historical roots. That is how Yaya Sarong was born.
